9 Signs you are a Lightworker
A lightworker is someone who is essentially here to bring the light. That is your purpose. To connect and share your light with others. Sometimes this means literally working with people in healing professions and other times it just means using your gifts in your day to day expression. Here are some signs that you might be a lightworker:
1. You are deeply empathetic and sensitive
Lightworkers often have a deep sense of empathy towards others. You might find yourself feeling what others feel — physically and/or emotionally. You pick up on energies all around you and often can feel when “the vibe is off”. It can be challenging to be around crowds or people that have negative energy as those things can drain you dry.
2. You feel that you are here for a reason
Lightworkers often feel called to something greater or a higher purpose. They often feel like there is something more, whether they know what that more is or not. You might find yourself on a journey searching for your purpose and gifts, just knowing there is something beyond what you currently are doing.
3. Spiritual Awakening
Oftentimes someone who is meant to be a lightworker and walk this path to the higher self will experience a spiritual awakening. This will often be a life-altering experience that has led them down this new path of spirituality. It can look like chronic illness, an accident or trauma. Sometimes it can be a series of events causing a gradual awakening or peeling back the layers one by one to enhance awareness. Either way you will feel a call to something greater than yourself, a higher source and seek out spiritual knowledge.
4. Desire for Oneness
Lightworkers often feel an aching for connectivity and peace. They crave harmony and hate fighting. It can feel overwhelming and devastating to them to watch the news or experience what is happening in the world. They love to work with others and connect people.
5. Inner Knowing
Lightworkers will often have an inner knowing that comes from within. There are things that they just know and aren’t even sure why or how. This information comes with little or no education on these things and often begins in childhood. They are extremely intuitive.
6. A Pull Toward Healing Modalities
You will feel a pull towards learning healing and mystical modalities. Maybe you love astrology or mediumship, or energy healing. You feel the call to learn everything about these modalities and seek out those who practice so you can experience them.
7. Feeling Different or Lonely
Lightworkers often feel lonely or isolated, especially in growing up if they have gifts that showed up early. They may feel different from others and feel worried about sharing their gifts or beliefs.
8. Commitment to Self-Healing
Oftentimes lightworkers will be on a journey of personal growth and self-healing. They do the work on themselves before they work on others and that is often how they learn the healing modalities.
9. Connection to Nature and Animals
Lightworkers feel most like themselves in natural settings. They love to be outside and have deep respect and empathy for the earth and the creatures that walk it. You might feel drawn to herbs, cooking or gardening — or maybe working with animals as a lightworker.
You may relate to some of these or all of them or none of them and still be here with a mission and greater purpose. You still are here to bring the light even if it isn’t your job to heal the collective daily. You can be a lightworker and be an accountant or a lawyer or whatever it is that you do.
